Feed the Snail!
Join Jack Johnson in supporting SFTB!
Slow Food Tampa Bay is teaming up with Jack Johnson on his 2010 To The Sea Tour and All At Once, a social action network connecting nonprofits with people who want to become active in their local and world community. All At Once comes to life online at www.AllAtOnce.org and at every Jack Johnson concert in the Village Green, a collection of interactive booths where you can get educated, get inspired, and connect face-to-face with us and other local and national non-profits.
Funds raised through Feed the Snail initiative will go towards helping us offset costs for community events, provide aide to farmers, and provide educational opportunities for our youth to learn more about Good, Clean and Fair Food!
HOW YOU CAN TAKE ACTION!
1) Become a Member of All At Once! Visit www.AllAtOnce.org to check out what you can do before, during, and after the show to get involved.
2) Help us raise funds! Jack Johnson’s new charity is matching every dollar contributed to us at the show or directly to our organization between now and October 15 (Up to $2500). Please make a contribution right now and your money will be doubled by the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation!
Collectively, individual actions create global change. Your actions, your voice, and your choices, all have a huge impact. www.AllAtOnce.org
One of our current fundraising initatives:
Help our local farmers reach Terra Madre!
Two of our amazing Bay Area farmers have been slected to represent the Slow Food Tampa Bay Community at Terre Madre in Turin, Italy this October!
As many of you are aware, many of our "Slow" farmers operate on very thin profit margins, and while they have asked for nothing, Slow Food Tampa Bay would like to offer each farmer a $750 grant to help them offset the costs of a coach airfare ticket. So we are asking you to FEED THE SNAIL to help these dedicated members of our Slow community reach Italy.
Any funds raised above and beyond $1,500.00 will go towards funding future community outreach for Slow Food Tampa Bay.
